Why so serious ? ...
Apreensivo, lá fui ver o Batman.Passado o histerismo das primeiras semanas, já foi possível evitar telemóveis, pipocas ao rubro e baldes de coca-cola transformados em autênticos sorvedouros. E à meia-noite e meia, lá seguimos para bingo. Como não gostei do último, aguardava pelo primeiro deslize do realizador. Talvez por isso tenha demorado quase metade do filme a tentar entrar nele e a situar-me. Não conseguia apanhar o ritmo mas, de repente, houve um click e tudo engrenou e começou a fazer sentido.
No final, ás 03H15 da manhã, não houve como negar: o filme justifica todo o “buzz” gerado e os recentes recordes de bilheteira.
Transcende o típico filme de super-heróis, de anti-heróis ou adaptações teenagers de Comic books, entafulhadas em CGI. Está muito para além disso: é um tratado adulto sobre as trevas nos tempos modernos e não é um filme negro, de todo: antes de um cinzento aterrador que torna impossível demarcar limites onde quer que seja.
O crescendo de caos que se instala com a chegada do Joker e a sordidez das suas “partidas” prova que ainda é possível ser-se surpreendido no cinema actual. De resto, nada é previsível neste filme, nem mesmo quando a cena da resolução do conflito entre os dois barcos por um dos prisioneiros (vale o filme!) parece indicar o final. Nada disso: segue-se mais uma sequência e retoma-se o desespero em Gotham City, entretanto instalado também nos espectadores (não se ouviu uma mosca na sala, nem sequer nos silêncios).
A queda de Harvey Dent é fantástica, a espiral de demência do personagem é genial, a música é irrepreensível e o “todo” satisfaz em pleno, se exceptuarmos o excesso de gadjets, motas, carros e sofisticação tecnológica.
Mesmo assim, garante-me uma segunda volta ás salas de cinema.
